About HomiesEd

Our commitment to flexible, inclusive learning and a sense of belonging is deeply personal and rooted in experience.

HomiesEd was created by home-educating parents who understand both the freedom and the challenges that come with choosing an alternative path to education.

Having educated our own children across mainstream and SEND pathways, we know how difficult it can be to find the right activities, resources, support services and meaningful connections. Too often, families spend hours searching through social media groups, websites and recommendations, trying to piece together everything they need.

We created HomiesEd to change that.

Our vision is simple: to build a global home education platform where families can find opportunities, support and community all in one place. Whether you're looking for local classes, educational experiences, tutors, therapists, resources or simply other families who understand your journey, HomiesEd is designed to help you feel connected, supported and empowered.

HomiesEd is more than a directory. It's a growing community where home-educating families can discover opportunities, build friendships and access trusted support wherever they are in the world.

HomiesEd was created by the team behind Onyx Student Support Ltd. As specialists in neurodiversity, we work closely with families and individuals every day, supporting a wide range of learning and wellbeing needs. Through this work, we have seen first-hand how powerful personalised, flexible approaches can be, and HomiesEd was built with those principles at its heart.

Our backgrounds span education, counselling, mental health, neurodiversity and family support. This experience has shaped our commitment to creating a platform that is inclusive, welcoming and accessible to all home-educating families.

Whether you're just beginning your home education journey or have been home educating for years, we're here to help you find activities, discover resources, access support and, most importantly, find your people.

Welcome to HomiesEd, where home education families connect, learn and thrive.
